Slot Car City hosted another So Cal USRA scale race and as usual the tough LV local racers won most of the races.

Amateur 4" Nascar was run as a 13 car round robin with BP’s Mike Hudson winning by two over Jason "Horsepower" Holmes with Paul Starrett five more back in third. Local fast kidd Tyson Joyce was fourth with Alex Freund fifth. El Cajon’s Earl Wilson TQed with a great 4.827.

Expert 4" Nascar was dominated by the father and son team of Joe and Mitch Pelan who were running a good tenth faster than the nearest SoCal regular. Mitch won with Joe 5 back and followed by Ira Stoker, Steve Forsyth, Roy Hood, Phil Roberson and Gil Rivera.

Amateur 4.5" Trucks was the best race of the weekend with "Amazing" Alex Freund, LV’s Tyson Joyce and BP’s Mike Hudson all racing on the same lap for much of the race.  Alex won with Tyson a few segments behind but just a few sections ahead of Mike Hudson. Paul Sterrett, Garrett Wallace, Mark Eastman, and Bill Baughn rounded out the field.

Expert 4.5" Trucks looked a lot like the Expert 4" race with Mitch and Joe first and second again by fifteen laps with Mitch turning 289 laps just like in 4" Nascar.  Roy Hood was third and received 1st place points since Joe and Mitch are not members.  Gil Rivera was fourth, Steve Forsyth fifth. Phil Roberson and Ira Stoker were out early with mechanical problems.

Amateur GT-1 required semis with Chris Radisich winning the A and Tyson Joyce winning the faster, cleaner B semi. Casey Scott. Jonathan Forsyth and Darryl Atkins also advanced from the B with Mick Antonelli, Jason Holmes and Richard Arcand moving up from the A’s.

In the main, which was rather rough, Mick Antonelli dodged the wrecks and won by seven over "Horsepower" Holmes with Chris Radisich surviving for third. Jonathan Forsyth was fourth with Richard Arcand fifth and followed by Western States Champ Casey Scott, Darryl Atkins and Tyson Joyce.

Expert GT-1 was as expected the "Joe and Mitch Show" with Mitch running away to a 4 lap win over Joe with Greg G ten more back but giving Greg enough points to wrap up Expert GT-1 for the year. Crazy Chuck was fourth with Roy Hood fifth, Steve Forsyth sixth and followed by Ira and Gil.

Amateur GT-12 was fast and destructive with Mick Antonelli and Jason Holmes battling through pit stops and motor problems to finish two laps apart after 335 laps with Mick first and Jason Second. Earl Wilson battled back into third with Chris Radisich reassembling his car several times after incredible crashes but hanging in there for fourth. Richard Arcand was fifth, Jonathan Forsyth sixth, Casey Scott suffered through several pit stops to replace broken parts for seventh and was followed by Darryl Atkins, Alan Trujillo, Tyson Joyce and Mike Hudson.

Expert GT-12 drew only seven racers but had significant points ramifications as Greg G was trying to catch up a little to series leader Roy Hood.  Mitch Pelan continued his streak with Greg G second and Roy Hood third. Monty Ohren finished fourth with Chuck Panno sixth and Gil Rivera seventh. Chuck Panno was TQ with a great 3.524 on Blue.
