The first 1/32 Eurosport race in 4 years at the WSC was held on SoCal’s first true "flattrack" and actually outdrew the USRA Nationals with a full field of the little "nightmare" cars. Dwayne Roberts took concourse and Greg G was TQ. Greg lowered the "Korkscrew’’ 1/32 Euro record to 3.537.

Fred Hood and Greg G took off in the lead and Greg was soon stretching it out as Lee Gilbert slowly began to reel in Fred. Paul Kassens battled back fromn early problems to take fifth behind Roy Hood. Chris Radisich, Dwayne Roberts and Craig Rieland rounded out the field.

SUNDAY Sept 23

Dwayne Roberts claimed the Concourse plaque as Greg G took another TQ with a new official "Korkscew" record of 2.926. Alan was next fastest at 3.0510.

The B heat was a great race between young Jonathan Forsyth in his first Euro race against Craig Rieland. Craig finally put a couple of laps on Jonathan to win the B heat.

In the A main Greg G took off in the lead and almost never looked back. Turns out it’s a good thing he did look back as two time USRA National Champ Alan Ohren was only three back going into heat 7. Alan moved past Greg and started the last segment two up. The final heat shootout saw Greg come back and take his second WSC 1/24 Eurosport title by two with Lee Gilbert third, Graig Rieland fourth and Jonathan fifth from the Bs. Steve Forsyth, Roy Hood, Paul Kassens, Dwayne Roberts, Chris Radisich and Fred Hood completed the eleven car field run as two mains.

Amateur GT-1 drew a very large field and once again required semis. Greg Noah took concourse. Casey Scott put on a "Pro caliber" performance to lead from wire to wire with Mike Hudson second and TQ with a 3.948 on the orange lane. Paul Sterrett took the last podium position followed by Alex Freund, Jonathan Forsyth, newcomer John Emmons, Chris Radisich and Mike Lewis who led early.

Expert GT-1 was a great comeback win by Greg G after Mike Stuart and Roy Hood had led most of the race. Greg spotted Stu and Roy as many as seven laps before remembering how to drive. Stu was not going down easily as Greg and Stu battled for the lead until Mike’s rear axle seized and brought him to a stop. Roy took over second and Stu hung onto third with Gil fourth, Duran fifth, Ira sixth and followed by Steve Forsyth and Bill V.

Amateur GT-12 was all Jason Reynolds and Casey Scott. Jason set a blistering pace as Casey chased him in a 14 car round robin. Tim Hould and Jason Holmes tried to keep the pair in sight but in the end it was Jason, Casey. Tim H and Jason Holmes 1-2-3-4 with Jonathan Forsyth fifth, Tim Recla sixth, Mike Kravitz seventh and followed by Earl Wilson, Bill Taylor, Skip Colvin, Chris Radisich, Linn Hammond, Dennis Rios and Sam Rackham. Jason Reynolds was also TQ at 3.507.

The final race of the weekend featured SoCal’s fastest production racers in expert GT-12 . Roy Hood, Greg G, Bill V, Monty Ohren and Duran were all lapping under the track record in practice. Greg G took off in the lead with a 50 lap heat on red and at the first break had one on Roy and two on Duran. Duran took advantage of a rough 2nd heat to go three up on Roy and Stu. Roy got as close as 1 lap behind Duran after 5 but Duran held on to win another WSC 1st place with Roy 2nd, Stu 3rd, Monty Ohren fourth and followed by Steve Forsyth, John Tore Anderson, Greg G who salvaged TQ with a 3.4135 on orange.
