Spray Glue Group 12
Dsc01423.jpgDsc01423.jpgWe had 10 racers sign up for this event and it was Eric Hahn leading the early heats with only Jeremy Marquette and Bill Taylor able to keep pace. Both Jeremy and Bill got past Eric when Eric ran on the black lane in heat 5. It stayed that way until heat 8 when Eric moved back into the lead. But Eric was 8 and done and he would have to watch as both Bill and Jeremy took their shots. Jeremy had car problems and dropped to 5th and Bill had just enough to take the win by the length of the back straight. Evan McKee was 3rd, 15 laps back with Chris Radisich, Jeremy, Rick Elting, David Aikens, Robert Park, Lin Hammond, and JB Barnett taking the lesser positions.

Group 12
Dsc01423.jpgDsc01423.jpgWe could only manage 7 entries for this event and it was body painter extrordinare, Gil Rivera, taking the 7 points for TQ. The race started with Rich Curnutte, Gil and Dale Garcia leading the pack in that order. Dale moved into the lead in heat 3 and just kept running the big numbers. He continued to lead throughout and winning the race with a huge 47-lap margin over David Aikens and Gil Rivera. Chris Radisich, Rich Curnutte, Jeremy Marquette and Bill Pinkston were the other finishers.

One Motor Open
Dsc01423.jpgDsc01423.jpgWe had a good field of 14 racers sign up and after the computer picked the lanes, we were ready to go. Mickey was the early leader building up as much as a 10-lap lead on the average. But a blown gear in heat 4 dropped him back into the pack and let Pat Ularte into the lead. After that, Mickey was back in and taking big chunks of time out of Pat's lead. Pat had problems in heat 8 and Mickey moved back into the lead, just sections ahead of Randy Thompson. Mickey had run his and would have to wait and watch the final 4 heats. But it wasn't a long wait. In the next heat it was Randy to the pits and Mickey's lead was safe. Bill Taylor was poised to make a run at Randy for 2nd in the final heat, but his motor stopped early and Richard Curnutte came through for 3rd with Bill Pinkston taking 4th. Bill dropped to 5th ahead of Pat Ularte, Mike Graverson, Scott Salzberg, Gil Rivera, Al Chuck, Phil Larcom and Rick Elting.

Group 7
Dsc01423.jpgDsc01423.jpgMike Graverson was the fastest of the 9 entries with a lap of 1.811. Al Chuck and Bill Pinkston were 2nd and 3rd. Gil Gunderson was the early leader and holding off Bill Pinkston and Mike Graverson. Gil led through his sit out in heat 6 and then had a bad wreck in heat 7 on red and broke the hardware off of his motor. A quick trip to the pits and a fresh mill left him in 2nd behind Mike. Another motor problem on green dropped Gil to 3rd behind Al Chuck.  At the end it was Mike, Al and Gil on the podium ahead of Phil Larcom, Scott Salzberg, Bill Pinkston, Pat Ularte, Rich Curnutte and Randy Thompson.
